Generic cabling is a modular and highly flexible information transmission channel within buildings or between buildings. In fact, the wiring work should follow certain laws, which are not only reflected in the relevant specifications and standards to be followed in the implementation of structured wiring project, but also in line with many experiences and lessons learned in the project.
The general steps of engineering application generic cabling project are: Investigation - scheme design - civil construction - technical installation - information point test - document sorting - maintenance.
Optical fiber jumper, generic cabling
(1) Research: the main task is to inquire about the customer's network needs, investigate the building on site, settle the consumption of wires, the number of information sockets and the positioning and quantity of cabinets according to the building plan and other data, and make a generic cabling Research Report;
(2) Wiring scheme design: make wiring material budget table and project schedule according to the preliminary survey data;
(3) Civil construction: coordinate the construction team to discuss responsibilities with the owner, and propose wiring permission, mainly including drilling, wiring, information socket positioning, cabinet positioning, and line marking;
(4) Technical installation: mainly for information module, distribution frame and cabinet internal installation;
(5) Information point test: General test, using 12 point tester, can be carried out by one person, with high efficiency. It mainly tests the on-off condition, and can print out a detailed test report;
(6) Document management: the final completion report (material actual consumption table, test report, floor (building group) wiring table) to the customer shall be provided to provide data basis for future maintenance;
(7) Maintenance: respond quickly in case of line failure.
Generic cabling can not only connect voice, data, image equipment and switching equipment with other information management systems, but also connect these equipment with the outside. It also includes all cables and related connecting parts between the connection point of the external network or telecommunication line of the building and the application system equipment. The generic cabling system consists of components of different series and specifications, including transmission media, related connecting hardware (such as distribution frame, connector, socket, plug, adapter) and electrical protection equipment. These components can be used to build various subsystems, each of which has its own specific purpose.
